What to expect from us
Whether you're prepping a building site, opening up pasture, or taking back an overgrown corner of your property, we clear it: trees dropped and hauled, brush and saplings cut out, undergrowth knocked down to workable ground.
Clearing can be total or selective. Plenty of our jobs keep the good trees — we'll walk the lot with you, flag what stays, and clear everything else around it. That's how a wooded Indiana lot becomes a homesite that still has shade.
Add stump grinding and the lot is truly ready — no rows of stumps waiting under the weeds for a mower or a foundation crew to find. Tell us what the land is for (building, pasture, yard, trail) and we'll clear it to match.
Lot Clearing questions, answered
Can you clear just part of my property or select trees?
Yes — selective clearing is common. We'll walk the property with you, mark the trees you want to keep, and clear the brush, saplings, and unwanted trees around them.
What happens to all the debris from clearing?
Your choice: we can haul everything off, or leave usable wood bucked for firewood. We'll set the plan during the estimate so there are no surprises.
Do I need a permit to clear my lot?
It depends on your county and what the land drains into — some Indiana counties regulate clearing near waterways or in certain zones. Check with your county's planning or zoning office before large-scale clearing; for a typical residential cleanup of brush and select trees, permits usually aren't an issue.
Do you grind the stumps after clearing?
On request, yes — and if you're building or mowing the ground afterward, you'll want it. We grind the stumps 6–12 inches below grade so the site is genuinely ready for what's next, not booby-trapped with stumps.
