Storm-blown tree hung up in the treetops — Lake LaSalle, Brown County
An August storm came across the lake and took down a couple of trees on this property. This one never made it to the ground — it snapped at the base and got stuck, its top tangled into the branches of the trees around it. Look up to where it's caught: that's where we climbed. You can see one of our guys up in the treetops, getting ready to drop it to the ground. We did what we do best — got the tree down safely and cleaned up the mess.
Dead tree came down on a garage roof — Freetown, IN
Just this September, a dead tree rotted through at the base and came down on this garage roof. We got the tree off the garage, took down the dead tree standing right beside it, and tarped the roof to protect the homeowner's property from an incoming storm. All the wood was cut up and stacked in a pile at the back of the property, with the loose material in the burn pit.

A severe storm came through this July and snapped this tree off at the trunk, leaving a shattered stump and a pile of wood in the front yard. We bucked it up, hauled everything away, and ground the stump below grade so the lawn can grow right back over it.

This giant stood for more than 150 years before we took it down this August. A tree this size takes big saws, the right equipment, and a crew that knows how to handle serious weight — felled, cut into sections, and the lawn blown clean when we were done. The homeowner wanted this old, hollowed-out stump gone — and ground deep enough that they could plant another tree. We ground it out deep and left a level bed of grindings, ready for replanting.

A big branch broke off high up in this tree, and the homeowner wanted the rest of it down before it fell. It was leaning heavy over the house, with the air conditioner and the propane tank right underneath — no room for error. We climbed it, brought it down piece by piece, and stacked the wood for the homeowner. Another risky job done safely by the crew.
Commercial job — a stump in the lot at Heritage Automotive Sales — Columbus, IN
Our friends over at Heritage Automotive Sales in Columbus had us out this past summer to take care of a big stump sitting in the landscape island of their busy car lot. We ground it out below grade and left the bed level and ready for mulch or plantings — curb and pavement untouched, and the lot open for business the whole time.

A storm this past summer uprooted a tree and heaved the whole root ball up out of the lawn. We ground the stump and surface roots down below grade and left the spot level — ready to dress with some topsoil and plant fresh grass seed.

A huge branch came off this tree during a recent thunderstorm. Our crew came out and carefully took down the rest of the tree, pieced up the logs and stacked them, and ran the branches through the chipper. Here we are almost finished — cutting the last of the trunk into logs the homeowner can split into firewood, at their request.
